Transport

MGS is a truly regional school, and pupils travel to us from across the North West, including places as far away as Preston, Sheffield, Buxton and Stoke-on-Trent. Boys enjoy the independence their journeys give them.

The Friends Scheme aims to connect boys starting at MGS with an older pupil who is able to accompany them on their school journeys for the first few days of the school year.

This has proved to be very successful for pupils who live in Sheffield, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Rochdale, Oldham, Stalybridge, Marple, Glossop and the High Peak, and Congleton.
