KIRAN

Congratulations to MGS mathematician Kiran Raja, in Year 11, who is the only MGS pupil this academic year to get through to the second round of the British Mathematical Olympiad (BMO).

The BMO is a follow-on from the Senior Maths Challenge, with about 1,000 Senior Challenge high scorers invited to sit the British Mathematical Olympiad Round 1.

Only 100 or so pupils across the country then qualify for Round Two based on their performance in Round One, making Kiran's achievement even more exceptional.

Round Two is a three-and-a-half-hour paper with four even more challenging problems, which Kiran will sit on January 24. Good luck Kiran!
