Last week, the MGS Junior School held its annual Science Day, which this year was based on the topic of cities. We welcomed over 10 industry experts to share their knowledge of their respective fields with our boys.

Each year group enjoyed two funny and fact-packed science shows, presented by Ian Dunn from 'Go Science', plus an array of workshops put on by our visitors. Examples of just a few of the seminars the boys attended included: Cities on Mars, Fatbergs, Greener Cities, Living in Space, urban transport and Wild Manchester.

The boys certainly made the most of the day, showing great enthusiasm and curiosity in every workshop – with many declaring it was their favourite day of the academic year!

Mrs Hamilton would like to thank all our visitors for giving up their time and providing the boys with such inspiring and engaging workshops, as well as Head of General Science, David Inglis, for organising and overseeing the day, ensuring it was a resounding success.
