Remembering Old Mancunians in Ypres

The School is currently planning an event to commemorate the Old Mancunians who gave their lives at the Somme and the Ypres Salient.
St. George's Memorial Church in Ypres is home to many memorial plaques remembering soldiers who died in the area from various schools and colleges. MGS is planning to purchase its own memorial plaque to remember the 166 OMs who were killed in the area. The unveiling will happen as part of the morning church service at St. George's on Sunday 3rd March 2019, and Old Mancunians are invited to attend.
