National success for MGS mathematicians

Our boys achieved some outstanding results in the recent Mathematical Education on Merseyside Maths Challenge.
Competing against pupils from more than 90 schools across the UK, MGS pupil Viyom, in Year 8, performed amazingly to win The Ian Porteus Award for overall first place in the Junior section of the competition.
Riccardo, also in Year 8, performed superbly to achieve the runners-up prize in both the Junior and Senior sections.
Year 10 pupil Geza achieved a highly commended award in the Senior competition, while Zach in Year 7 was awarded a merit in the Junior competition.
Well done to all four boys – these are great achievements for this talented quartet of mathematicians.
