Year 13 pupil Frank receives volunteering award
Congratulations to year 13 pupil Frank who has received runner-up prize for the High Sheriff of Greater Manchester’s Young Person Award for his outstanding community work.
Frank is involved with a plethora of volunteering including: spending time at L’Arche, a care home for adults with learning disabilities; helping the elderly with technology at Withington Digital Assist and assisting with the running of a coding club at Birchfield’s Primary School.
The Greater Manchester Young Person Awards were launched to provide a platform for young people who had shown kindness, thoughtfulness, bravery or actions that had made a difference to our communities.
Frank was absolutely delighted with his prize and said: “From the very moment that I started volunteering, I have continued to enjoy the positive effect that I can have upon others. It was a privilege to be nominated and to receive this award”.
Well done Frank from everyone at MGS!
