| 13th Annual Year 8 Shakespeare Festival
Each year for the last twelve, we have decimated, truncated and generally abused four of the bard’s works of genius……. and I think he would have approved! He was, after all, a man of the people. A populist. Our approach is designed to introduce youngsters to the finest poetry ever written and show them that a) it’s not scary, and b) you can have fun with it. How populist is that?!
Troupes vary in size, but usually consist of 7 or 8 boys, due to the increased size of year 8 drama classes. To give the boys adequate roles, the plays run between 20 and 30 mins.
Note: this event is free and there is no ticketing required.
Monday's Schedule (Play and troupe name):
- "Henry V," performed by The Other Guys
- "A Midsummer Night's Dream," performed by The Nobodies
- "The Merchant of Venice," performed by Oliver's Army
- "The Tempest," performed by Tinie Tempests 1
