The new Junior Section of MGS opened in September 2008 for boys aged 9 and 10 and we are absolutely delighted with the hugely positive response it has received from pupils and parents alike. In fact it has been so successful that our Junior Section is now full for this academic year.
In December 2009, MGS governors made the decision to expand our Junior Section to include Years 3 and 4 from September 2011. As with our Year 5
and 6 pupils, Years 3 and 4 boys will also have guaranteed entry to the Senior Section.
Applications for Years 3 and 4 assessment begin in the Summer Term (2010). We are now taking applications for Year 5 and 6 entry in September 2010, and comprehensive information is available on our website. However, should you have a more specific enquiry Kath Heathcote, is always happy to assist.
There is no entrance examination for our Junior Section and pupils admitted will automatically progress without further hurdle into the Senior Section. Decisions for entry into Years 5 and 6 are based on our assessment of your son through an assessment day, along with the report we receive from his current junior school.
