Eighteen-year-old Manchester Grammar School student Alex Platt grabbed the headlines in Whalley Range’s Manchester Association Premier Division meeting with Bury.

Range’s supporters saw the teenager hit one of the best centuries seen at Kingsbrook Road as he made an excellent 115 in Range’s total of 232-8.
