The future development of the School is subject to a Development Plan, which encompasses the best ideas of the Governors, the High Master and the staff of MGS. The plan, which will take us up to our 500th anniversary in 2015, defines both the improvement of facilities and procedures affecting all our pupils.
The ongoing success of the Foundation Bursary Fund in supporting more than 240 pupils in perpetuity has been matched by the success of the Drama Centre Campaign. The rebuilding of the School Theatre, with extended facilities for the Drama Department, will be completed in 2010.
Our Development Office manages all aspects of fundraising for the School, keeps in touch with our alumni – known as Old Mancunians – and is responsible for the management of our Archive Library. Director of Development, Ian Thorpe, and members of his team are always happy to answer questions and supply further information. Enter the Development Office link on the left to meet his team.
