MGS is the world leader in school desert trekking and treks in Britain and abroad have been a central part of MGS life since 1908.
A trek will typically cover more than 100 miles, involve walking and scrambling and require each member to carry enough kit to take them, via overnight camps, from one supply point to the next.
Our regular expeditions are renowned: to Jotunheimen National Park in
Norway, the Atlas Mountains and on the Alpine Treks climbing the
highest peaks in the Alps including Mont Blanc.
There are also less demanding Youth Hostelling trips in the Dales and Lakes.
Read through the pages and hear some of our boys' perspectives of life on their adventures.
