Treks

MGS is the world leader in school desert trekking and treks in Britain and abroad have been a central part of MGS life since 1908.

A trek will typically cover more than 100 miles, involve walking and scrambling and require each member to carry enough kit to take them, via overnight camps, from one supply point to the next.

Our regular expeditions are renowned: to Jotunheimen National Park in Norway, the Atlas Mountains and on the Alpine Treks climbing the highest peaks in the Alps including Mont Blanc.

There are also less demanding trips in the Dales and Lakes. Follow the links below to take a closer look at the four MGS camps or choose an adventure from the menu on the left to find out more.
