Daniel Hill is Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at University of Liverpool and teaches in the areas of Logic, Critical Thinking, Philosophy of Religion, Theory of Knowledge and Philosophy of Law.

Teatime Lecture: Barney Mayhew

Wars - how they happen and how to avoid them

Barney Mayhew read classics at Balliol College, Oxford and joined the British Army where he served in Cyprus, Germany, Namibia and Northern Ireland.  Since then he has worked as a civilian on conflict and humanitarian aid.

Teatime Lecture: Kate Cooper

Martyrdom and religious violence in the Roman World: ancient problems, modern parallels

Kate Cooper was appointed Head of History at Royal Holloway, London in Septermber 2017 and previously was Professor of Ancient History at the University of Manchester.  She writes and teaches about the world of the Mediterranean in the Roman period.

Jamie Woodward is Head of Geography and Professor of Physical Geography at the University of Manchester and Honorary Academic Curator of Geoarchaeology and Quaternary Science at the Manchester Museum.
