Jack started at MGS in Year 5, and moved into the Senior School in September 2018. This is his story, in his own words, about how he has found life as a Year 7 pupil at MGS:

Jack

I started MGS in Year 5 and I have loved every second of it.

From sport to academia, there is so much on offer. I, myself, have embraced all that is out there: from being in the football squad to working as hard as I can in all of my lessons. I love MGS and I have had the best first term of ‘Seniors’ ever! On my first day of Year 7, I felt as if I was only one marble in a very large jar. I had some idea of where my many classes would be (from being in the Junior School), however, with the help of the kind members of staff, I feel that I have settled in very well.

I think that my time in the Junior School has supported me and made my transition into Year 7 even smoother.

So far, I have really enjoyed learning my language of choice and getting involved in all of the sport on offer, from squash to water polo. My favourite subject is Maths, but, to be honest, all of the teachers make every single lesson fun and very exciting.

Lunches are also great and there are many vegetarian options available.

Overall, I think that I have settled into the ‘Senior School’ at MGS very well, thanks to the support of various teachers around the School, not to mention all of my friends, both old and new!
