On Wednesday 20th March, Year 6 spent a very informative morning at the Gita Bhavan Hindu Temple in Whalley Range to support their Religious Studies topic.

The boys and staff were made to feel extremely welcome as they had the chance to deepen their knowledge of Hinduism, learning about the religion’s beliefs, culture, customs, deities and festivals from their excellent host, Kumal.

This visit allowed the boys to see how prominent a role the Temple plays in the life and times of Hindu people. They also had the opportunity to have a Tilaka painted on their foreheads.
