Mathematician Jiyaad 's remarkable performance

MGS mathematician Jiyaad Ali has become one of only 100 people – out of field of 250,000 – to receive a medal and a distinction from the UK Mathematics Trust, putting him in the top 0.1% of all young mathematicians in the UK.
Jiyaad entered the Intermediate Maths Challenge, which is taken by a quarter of million pupils in Years 9, 10 and 11 across the UK. Of the 250,000, 500 – including Jiyaad – were invited to the Olympiad Round, and of these 500, only 100 received a medal and a distinction, making Jiyaad’s achievement truly remarkable.
