Brahms' Requiem Performance

In aid of CLIC Sargent CLIC

Sunday 28 January 2018 at 7.30pm in the MGS Memorial Hall

Tickets are available by clicking here.

A performance of Brahms' Requiem will take place in the MGS Memorial Hall on Sunday 28 January 2018, at 7.30pm, in aid of CLIC Sargent.

This follows the success of Verdi's Requiem in January 2016 which raised more than £10,000 for CLIC Sargent.

Brahms' setting of the requiem text was originally written in German, but due to the limited rehearsal time for the project, we will be performing it in English. There are some very famous sections which will be familiar and some fantastic tunes. It is scored for orchestra, choir and soloists. This is a project that will involve MGS boys, parents, staff and professional and amateur players and singers from across the Manchester area.
