Director of Development – Simon Jones
Simon is a former pupil of MGS (88-95) and joined as a teacher in the Geography Department in 2004. He was the School's Transport Co-ordinator until 2010 and was responsible for the successful introduction of the MGS Shuttles. Simon joined the Development Team in 2009 as Assistant Director of Development, and was appointed to take over from Ian Thorpe in 2010. Responsible for the successful Next 500 Bursary Appeal and the quincenteenary celebrations in 2015, Simon is now leading the Bursary Now Appeal.

Marketing, Communications & PR Manager - Sitara Bartle Davies
Sitara joined the school in January 2022 and looks after all publicity materials for internal and external publications promoting the school and the work of the Development Office. She works on the overall marketing strategy which includes the main social media channels for the school, the website and all photography and videography for school and alumni events.

Development Administrator – Julie Wright
Julie was appointed in 2008 and looks after the Development Office's financial records and philanthropic donations. Julie is also the Secretary to the Old Mancunians' Advisory Committee and responsible for school souvenirs.

Development Officer and Careers Lead - Lauren Tidey
Lauren joined MGS in September 2021. She is the School’s Careers Lead and oversees the work experience and mentoring progammes, as well as our alumni networking site, MGS Global Connect. Lauren manages and coordinates the Development Office and Old Mancunian events as well as the careers evenings and careers fair.

Archivist - Rachel Kneale
Rachel oversees the MGS Archive and the MGS Life digital platform, which contains documents, photographs, artefacts and audio-visual material relating to the 500 year history of the School, supported by Assistant Archivist Otto Smart.
