Careers Talk - Armed Forces

We are pleased to welcome OM Julian Apps (88-95) back to MGS for what promises to be an inspiring and insightful talk.

Julian's career has taken him from the frontline as an Military Officer in the Royal Marines, with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, to leading crisis response and operational planning teams. Today, he is a Senior Consultant at Capgemini, where he applies the leadership, logistics, and operational expertise developed during his military service, alongside financial experience gained early in his career with JP Morgan.

Julian will reflect on his career journey, the challenges and opportunities he has encountered, and the transferable skills that enabled him to move successfully between sectors.

This talk will be particularly valuable for pupils interested in the armed forces, business consultancy, leadership, and career pathways that combine diverse experiences.
