Clare Bolton

Clare Bolton
Clare has been a Governor at MGS since 2013 and became Chair in 2022. She was Chair of the Finance and General Purposes Committee from 2016 and a member of the Nominations and Remuneration Committees, both of which she now chairs. After graduating from Liverpool University, Clare became a Chartered Accountant, spending all her career with PwC, based in Liverpool and Manchester and was a partner from 1985 until her retirement in 2011. She was a corporate tax specialist advising UK and international clients. In addition to client work, she had many market and industry leadership roles in the UK, Europe and globally. She also served on PwC's UK and Global Supervisory Boards. She was a Non-Executive Director of United Utilities PLC through their privatisation. Since retirement she has been involved with a number of health charities and as Governor and Chair of Finance at New Islington Free School. Clare is married to Andrew and they have two sons, both of whom attended MGS.
