Welcome to our new Head of the Junior School

We are absolutely delighted to welcome Ms Eleanor Losse as our new Head of the Junior School.

Ms Losse started in January and has been working right throughout this latest lockdown, but is thrilled to see all our Junior School pupils back and is looking forward to getting to know the boys.

Ms Losse takes over from Mrs Linda Hamilton, the founding Head of the Junior School, who retired in December 2020. Educated at Cheadle Hulme School, Ms Losse then graduated from Edinburgh University with an MA (Hons) in Geography and went on to complete her PGCE there.

She has since taught in a range of schools and across the primary age range in Edinburgh, London, Manchester and Cheshire and held leadership posts, including seven years as Head Teacher of Hursthead Junior School and a trustee of The Kirkstead Education Trust.  She has also served as a lead moderator for Key Stage 2 writing.

We are delighted to have a teacher, and a leader, of Ms Losse’s extensive experience join us, and I’m sure all parents and the wider MGS community will give her a warm welcome as she settles into life at MGS.
