Congratulations to year 9 pupil Elliott who participated in the Blackpool 2 Star table tennis tournament held by Table Tennis England.

Elliott won 1st place in the Under 15s event and 2nd in the Under 17s event.

His table tennis ranking in England now is 18th  in Under 16s.

Elliot started table tennis when he was eight and has continued playing the sport ever since. He commented: ". Table tennis is such a great sport because every single point in a match is intense and rapid. After moving to Manchester, playing table tennis helped me to meet many new people - from the school table tennis team, to my local table tennis club, to playing for my county.

The most memorable experience for me was representing Cheshire in the county championship in the Under 19s event, where I won 8 out of 12 matches. In the end, my team finished 3rd in the tournament. Every Thursday, there is school table tennis squad training in charge by Mr. Roe and Mr. Millington. I get to play against players of different styles and levels. In January, Mr. Roe took us to the National Cup which took place in Blackburn and we even made it to the Regional Finals".

Well done Elliott and good luck for your future training and competitions!
