Congratulations to our 12 pupils from years 7-13 who took part in the MUN conference over the weekend held at Shrewsbury School!
The theme for the conference was ‘Diversity, Inclusion and Co-operation’ and MGS pupils represented the countries of Mexico and Nigeria, debating topics including: the Kashmir conflict, LGBTQ+ rights, environmental protection and child slavery.
The pupils were delighted to discover that they won Outstanding Delegation, the top award for the whole conference, which was testament to their hard work and determination, competing against over 20 strong teams and nearly 200 delegates from across the country.
There were multiple individual awards also, including: Outstanding Delegate for Junaed S, Nick B and Zach F. A special mention should go to year 10 pupil Joss who was awarded Best Young Delegate!
