Musician Riccardo wins International Competition

Congratulations to year 9 pupil Riccardo who performed and won First Prize in an International Music Competition in London. He was then invited to play at the Royal Albert Hall, followed by the Awards ceremony - this is a fantastic accolade for such a young musician!
Riccardo commented on his experiences, saying: "It is always great fun to take part to a Music Competition, in this case I also felt so privileged to have been invited to perform in the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room in London for the awards ceremony, on the famous 'BIG RED': an hand built Yamaha Grand Piano which is the only one of its kind in Britain and that was originally played by Sir Elton John!"
He added: "I am very happy to have brought home a First Prize and a gold medal, always remembering that Competitions are mainly experience, fun, and sharing your love for music with others, whatever is the result! An amazing experience overall!"
