The Cambridge Chemistry Challenge, organised by St Catharine's College, is a national competition for Lower Sixth students. It comprises an extremely tough exam paper that students sit in the summer of their Lower Sixth year.

There were more than 7,000 entries into this year's competition, and of the eight MGS students who volunteered to take the challenge, four were awarded the prestigious Gold award.
